Fray:  Bring Fray Day 6 to your town!

Last year, Fray Day 5 came to 10 cities worldwide. This year we're hoping for even more! If you're wondering why there's no Fray Day in your town, maybe you should start one! Read on for more info....

I'll tell you this now: It's not easy to throw a Fray Day. It takes a lot of planning, emailing, hoping, talking, and working. But when it all comes together, it's magic.

If you'd like to join us, you're welcome! Fray Day 6 is scheduled for September 14. The first step is to write in and let me know you're interested. If there are already people working on bringing Fray Day to your town, I'll connect you with them. If there's not, I'll ask you if you want to lead the way.

If you do, the next step is to start looking for a venue. Finding the right venue is that's the hardest and most important step. And this year I'm requiring organizers to have a venue secured before I announce the location, so I don't get anyone's hopes up prematurely.

The best piece of advice I can give to anyone who wants to organize a Fray Day is this: Don't go it alone. Get a group of people together and delegate, delegate, delegate. It's the only way to do this and hold on to your sanity.

If the idea of organizing a lot of people for a night of personal stories doesn't scare you off, please write in and introduce yourself! Who are you? Why do you want to do this? Ever thrown a big event like this before? Got any ideas on what you'd like to do? Let's talk!

And, again, thanks for the interest. Fray Day is an all-volunteer event. It wouldn't exist without you.
