Los Angeles:
More Bios
Here are the bios of two of the best storytellers in this crazy town.
Dan Farren has been a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit for several years, having appeared at the Ice House Annex, the Comedy Store, the Irvine Improv and a whole bunch of places with a brick wall. His TV appearances include VH1, the Game Show Network, To Tell the Truth and NBC's Secrets of Pro Wrestling Exposed (he can't tell you who he was, because then it wouldn't be a secret). Farren has had articles, plays and stories published in a variety of mediums and with his writing-producing partner Shari Becker, was the co-author of Underwhere?, one of the hits of this years Los Angeles Playwright's Express Festival. A regular at Beverly Mickin's Story Salon, Dan is making his theatrical debut Sept. 22nd when his one person storytelling show, What Does Not Kill Me, Hurts For A Real Long Time, debuts at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre in North Hollywood.
Marti MacGibbon began doing standup comedy in Houston, Texas, while working in the oilfield there---setting off explosives, staking oil wells, etc. She has performed in comedy clubs all over the country and has appeared with the likes of Bill Hicks, Brett Butler, Sam Kinison, Mark Schiff and Gary Shandling. She has opened for such recording artists as Primus, Journey and the Doobie Brothers. Marti will also be performing her one woman show, Men and Mayhem at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre in North Hollywood.
