San Francisco:  Dealership at Fray Day 6 SF

I'm thrilled to announce that local band Dealership will be playing Fray Day 6 San Francisco. The SF Examiner called them "the best representative locally of the quirky noise-pop sound." To hear for yourself, visit their music page. With Dealership and From Monument to Masses on the bill, this Fray Day is ready to rock.

Melbourne:  Venue Announcement

Fray Day Melbourne will be held on Saturday 14 September at Good Morning Captain, 20 Johnston St, Collingwood (just near the intersection of Johnston St & Smith St). Doors open at 8.00 pm.

Good Morning Captain is a cafe with a nice big room at the back which is used for poetry readings and other literary-type events.

San Francisco:  From Monument to Masses

I'm very excited to announce that From Monument to Masses has just signed on to play Fray Day 6 San Francisco. They describe their music as "complex and hypnotic post-punk." They don't have a singer, using samples of revolutionary speeches instead. For Fray Day, they may even mix in a few stories from Fray Days past. You can check their sound here.

El Paso:  Venue Announcement!

Fray Day El Paso will be at the newly renovated Bridge Center for Contemporary Art on Saturday, September 14th. The Bridge Center is located in downtown El Paso on the corner of San Antonio and Stanton (1 Union Plaza). Doors will be open at 7pm with featured speakers starting at 8pm.

Fray:  Many pieces make the whole

Every Fray Day has a theme to gently guide the event. FD3 was the classic "tell your stories," FD4 was "you are what you express," and FD5 centered on the world-wide theme with "a global celebration of personal stories." This year's theme is "many pieces make the whole." Read on to find out why.
