Melbourne:  Fray Meeting

The Fray Day meeting today went really well with some great ideas being tossed around for interactive art projects all of which sound fun.

Austin Fray Day has a location - finally! We'll be at Cafe Mundi, 1704 E. 5th St. Their motto is: Hard to find, easy to love. It's a great place with plenty of outdoor space. The show will begin at 7:00pm with Australian singer Sophie Raymond. Storytelling will begin around 8:30, and will be led by the inimitable Ben Brown. More details soon!

Cincinnati:  Cancelled?

If I don't hear from anyone on this by Monday, I am afraid I will need to cancel the venue. Help if you can. Thanks.
---
Unfortunately I am unable to host Fray Day 6 in Cincinnati this year. WE NEED SOMEONE TO TAKE THE HELM. A lot of the hard work is done: PR is on the move, some speakers are lined up, a couple bands are interested. If you'd like to be the person who helps get the troops in order and get the posters together, we need you to respond now. Please email us as soon as you can as the venue is on hold and we need to tell them something quickly. Thank you for your help and understanding.

Los Angeles:  Fray Day LA on Sunday

This year's Fray Day LA will be held on Sunday, September 15, from 7 to 11pm at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Complex in the NoHo Arts District. The evening will feature a wonderful array of featured storytellers, followed by the traditional open mic. {fray} author Lance Anderson and Beverly Mickins are producing the event. Check back soon to find out ways you too can get involved. At the very least, we hope to see you there.

Melbourne:  Flier

Ericmonkey has created a fab flier to advertise the Melbourne Fray Day. So what to do with it? Download the file, print out a copy or two and take it along to your local cafe, library, bookshop, school, work or anywhere else that is appropriate and ask them to stick it up. It's as simple as that and we can paint this town Fray!
