Austin NewsPhoteaux, et al. Well, we had a very nice time at Austin's Fray Day 6. It was very low-key, very laid back, all about the stories. Thanks in triplicate to Ben Brown for holding things together and for telling an excellent story. Also thanks to everyone who shared a story. Some photos of the event are available here. Enjoy! Austin Flyers Austin flyers are here! If you're in the Austin area and are planning to attend the show, help spread the word by printing out and distributing a few flyers. Austin Performers Howdy from Austin. Here's a quick "featured performers" update for you: You know that Ben Brown is emcee, right? Well, he is (rock!). And his winsome wife, Ani Moller, is a featured performer, along with Austin rock goddess Ainjel Emme and the always gentlemanly Tim O. Thompson. Show begins at 7:00pm with Sophie Raymond, a guitarist, vocalist and songstress from Australia. Storytelling begins around 8:30pm. And flyers are on their way.... We have Venue! Austin Fray Day has a location - finally! We'll be at Cafe Mundi, 1704 E. 5th St. Their motto is: Hard to find, easy to love. It's a great place with plenty of outdoor space. The show will begin at 7:00pm with Australian singer Sophie Raymond. Storytelling will begin around 8:30, and will be led by the inimitable Ben Brown. More details soon! |
