What is Fray Day?

Fray Day is an annual event brought to you by the storytelling website {fray} that takes place in cities all around the world on the same weekend. Each event features interactive art, featured performers, and a storytelling open mic. For an example, check out what we did last year.


Did you know?

» Fray Day 6 was worked on by dozens of people all over the world.

» Fray Day 4 took place in 2 cities, Fray Day 5 in 10, and Fray Day 6 took place in 11 cities.

» All combined, over a thousand people participated in Fray Day 6.

The Beautiful Wealthy Theatre

Venue Announcement!

All of us in Grand Rapids, Michigan are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting Fray Day for the third year running! We're back with a brand-new venue, some veteran story-tellers, and a bunch of very cool volunteers. Join us on Saturday September 14th at the Wealthy Street Theatre - doors open at 6pm and the stories begin at 7pm.

Fray Day 6 San Francisco will make its third annual appearance thanks to Shmuel Mikel and his crew of awesome volunteers: Aaron Smith, Rebecca Smith, Robyn Bowles, Ralston Bowles, and Cindy Bowles.

If you're interested in being a Featured Performer, helping put up flyers around town, or just about anything else, please email Shmuel.

The Grand Rapids event will take place at the Wealthy Street Theatre, located at 1130 Wealthy Street (map). Doors open at 6pm on Saturday, September 14.

There will be a $10 to $15 sliding-scale cover charge, to offset the cost of producing the event. All proceeds go to The Fray Organization. Hope to see you there!
